Beaches of Monemvasia

ELAFONISOS

Elafonissos is known for its emerald waters, sand dunes, beaches and bright skies.

A place you will want to stay forever, an exotic island of only 19 sq km, a huge paradise beach.

AMBELAKIA

This is the most famous beach in the area and is located south of Monemvasia with an amazing view towards Monemvasia and shallow crystal clear waters that deepen smoothly.

ARCHANGEL

PORI

It is one of the longest beaches in the Peloponnese with a length of about 2 km, an average width of 45 meters, with a southeast orientation.

It has an amazing view towards the castle town of Monemvasia.

SWORDFISH

It is located at a distance of 7 km. from Monemvasia. It is particularly extensive and well protected from meltemias and northerly winds.

The beach is sandy, while in some places there are pebbles and it is organized.

PORTELLO

A small, hidden opening on the south side of the walls, in the "root" of Kastropolitia, leads the visitor to the picturesque port of "Portelos".

In the past, Portelo functioned as a supply port for the castle, but also as the only place where the people of Monemvasi could bathe.

Portelo was recently renovated and offers the unique experience of swimming in the shadow of the Monemvasia Castle.

MANGLE

The beach of Manganos, with its blue-green, shallow waters and golden sand, is located between the beaches of Neratziona and Pountas-Pavlopetriou.

Along the beach there are cedar trees where the visitor can relax in their shade, while the beach is organized with umbrellas and sunbeds.

WASHERS
This beach has been awarded with a "Blue Flag" and is particularly popular with families, since it is organized, with umbrellas and sunbeds and has shallow crystal waters.
